Where Am I?

Welcome to Astrael, a world where magic now reigns, held in the palms of beings large and small! it's a world with a long and complicated history, with many curiousities to explore!

The History

Long ago, when Astrael was still relatively new in the Cycle of Things, it was just a place, as with all else. Everything existed, but without the flow of change, there was no evidence of what was. Tradition dictates that this all changed when the first Principle came to be. Theologists often argue whether they spontaneously came to exist or whether they somehow leaked in from some other plane, but one thing is certain; with the Principle of Creation's arrival in this plane, so too came the potential for new things, and the world began to spin, driven ever onward by the push and pull of the first Great Principle.

Eventually the now-constant pull of creation gave birth to beings that could move and act on their own, and eventually those beings grew powerful enough that began to ask questions of their world. It was at this point that humanity was born. And it would be this curiousity, this ability to ask questions that drove humans to achieve great things.
